Stephanie is a licensed clinical professional counselor who received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her masters degree in clinical mental health counseling at Governors State University. She serves individual clients 8 years and older and also provides couples therapy.
Stephanie has a passion for working with PTSD and traumatic experiences. She spent the first 10 years of her career working with high risk youth who had been human trafficked and experienced severe abuse and continues to focus on treating trauma in all forms. Stephanie is fully trained in two important trauma treatments, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy for those who are 18 and younger and EMDR.
Stephanie also has a passion for working with sexual issues, whether those be related to sexual trauma, intimacy within a relationship, porn addiction, lack of desire/anxiety surrounding sex, or most other sexual concerns.
Stephanie enjoys working with anyone, but has significant experience working with gender and sexual minorities, adolescents, folks with intellectual disabilities, polyamorous and ethically nonmonogamous couples, and adults 60+.
Stephanie is well versed in treating many mental health challenges and will collaborate on treatment to ensure your needs are being met in a way that works best for you. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing video games, visiting national parks, and going for long walks with her Shiba Inu.
